Holiday Special: The Traveller and the Devils
This episode was recorded and produced whilst on holiday in Madeira! So it’s only appropriate that for this episode I found a story from Madeira. This story was found online with a passage from the book ‘Madeira Folktales and Legends’ by José Viale Moutinho.
A rich traveller from Madeira stays in a local hotel and encounters the supernatural with a very different approach than most people would….. with consequences on his soul!
I would like to point out that I wanted to do a Madeira story in respect of the Madeiran people. They often say here that Madeira is for everyone, and I’d like to honour that.
This episode doesn’t follow the usual format as it’s all been recorded on my iPhone rather than my usual set up. The “chat” draws comparisons with another tale from Ireland.
